Could be! But, it would take a very long time or maybe some kind of catastrophe that would wipe us all out. This kind of thing has happened before, the Earth has had a dominant species, like the dinosaurs for example, that were then wiped out by disease or asteroids or some kind of catastrophe (maybe ours would be our own fault like global warming or nuclear war), after which a new species becomes the dominant one. But, for another species to evolve alongside humans and become more powerful would taken many thousands of years, and because we are currently so dominant it probably won’t happen…

I guess it depends what you mean by ‘superior’… There are a lot of species that have organs that are better adapted to certain things, or more efficient than the ones humans have. For example, birds lungs are a lot more efficient and better-designed than human lungs! Also, whales are a lot superior to us when it comes to keeping warm and holding breath under water!

If you are talking about intelligence, or about a dominant species on the planet, then I completely agree with Dave!

I think that humans stop the evolution of creatures from doing this, mainly because the minute something is threatening to us we kill it 🙁

I believe humans were just lucky that something didn’t wipe us out before we had the chance to evolve to deal with that sort of threat.
