Snot is a mixture of secretions from inside our nose and dust that we have breathed in and trapped in our nose hair. At the back of the nose there are glands which produce the secretions that then get mixed with the dust and wahey! we have snot. Why does it get produced? Well, that’s to keep our noses clean! Seems strange, right? producing snot to keep clean. Anyway, it’s just to clean the dust and sometimes germs (when we have a cold) from our nose so that later on we can breathe more easily.
