A star like our Sun takes about 10,000,000,000 years to use up its fuel, that means we only have about 6,000,000,000 left because the Sun is about 4,000,000,000 years old! More massive stars burn their fuel much faster, so even though they are bigger and have more fuel, they actually run out quicker!
