• Question: If you are a Physicist why did you only get a B in Physics? At this Stage had you desided what you wanted to do in life? Why did you choose Physics over Chemisty and Biology? Is Chemistry and Biology envoled in you job at all?

      You don’t need the best grades to be able to succeed at what you love in life. Einstein was kicked out of school before he even did GCSE’s, and look what he achieved!
      At A level I knew I loved science, but was very much torn between chemistry and physics. Chemistry is the electron stuff, physics is the nucleus.
      And by the time you get to university level, most science contains bits of other science – it’s more like a spectrum than specific boxes for the subjects. At the moment the stuff I’m working on is physics based (accelerating particles), but has medical applications (i.e. proton/hadron therepy for cancer treatment).
