      That’s a tough question! As most of us scientists are on short contracts (1-3 years) we often don’t know where we’ll be going next, what we’ll be working on next or even if we’ll still be able to be scientists! Personally, I have just accepted a job to move back from Chile to Europe, to work in Spain, but that contract is only for 1 year so after that I don’t know where I’ll be or what I’ll be doing!

      I hope, really really hope, I’ll be able to find a permanent job somewhere, so that I can focus on my research into stars without worrying about finding my next job or moving house! It’d be even better if that job is in Spain where my girlfriend works 🙂

      science leads to a better knowledge of the universe around us, from the very small (quarks) to the very large (galactic webs)
      I’m hoping that science leads me to a more enlightened future! 😛

      It’s leading me to:
      1) start to get a glimpse of how deeply fascinating our Universe is, and how beautifully amazing the way it all works is;
      2) travel all over the world, and meet people from everywhere;
      3) have a more critical view/judgment of politics, economy, technology, science itself, the links between them, the way they are presented in the news, and people in a position of making decisions for the future at a lot of levels;
      4) get a better and better understanding of how important is it that EVERYONE gets interested in science and how it works, what we know about the planet and nature, because without this it’s going to be very difficult for all the societies of the Earth to collectively make the best decisions for their future;

      and, also, science led me to meet the unbelievable man who is now my husband 🙂
